As we entered inside the theater . I was amazed by show's stage set-up. The lighting and visual effects were fantastic, too. When the show started, the adult performers delivered a great opening performance that brought a long round of applause from the theatergoers. The lead characters of the play Tyltyl and Myltly showcased their unbelievable talent. The effective performances were contagious.
Despite of the cold temperature inside the theater, due to the strong air puff blasting from the air conditioners. I still felt the mastery of each performer. I laughed at the performances of Tylette and Tylo, the young kids' pet cat and dog, respectively, who were magically given a human form to be their companions. Berylune, the fairy who prompts the kids' quest for finding true happiness; Light who illuminates their paths; and Night, the dark villain who plots children's failure, were captivating as well.
While enjoying the show, I noticed that everyone's performance has taught good values--forgiveness, faith and unselfishness--to every audience member.
"The Bluebird of Happiness" was fun and very memorable for me because it was my first time to watch a professional musical production. I'm looking forward to watch more musicals; but I'd be bringing a thicker jacket next time!
